Is BOO Back?

It’s beginning to look like Black Oxygen Organic (BOO) may be making a comeback, but with a few tweaks. First, a little background for those unfamiliar with BOO:

BlackOxygen Organic was an MLM company that sold a fulvic and humic acid supplement. This supplement was essentially freeze-dried bog dirt that people consumed and slathered all over themselves, inside and out. It was the quintessential snake oil.

The company popped up on my radar back in July of 2021, after seeing a post in an anti-MLM Facebook group. After looking at a plethora of BOO rep’s posts, I was stunned by the massive amount of false health claims. In August 2021, I started the group BOO is WOO with some of my friends as a way to encourage people to report these false health claims to regulatory agencies and catalog evidence.

BOO is WOO blew up. We then teamed up with some ex-reps and ex-customers who were also speaking out and collectively we succeeded in getting regulatory eyes on the company resulting in a Health Canada recall, FDA hold, FDA recall, and FTC warning letter. A class-action lawsuit was also started by ex-customers. BOO closed its doors in November 2021.

Since November, a handful of us have continued to follow along with the company owners and its top reps. Shortly following the closing, two top reps, Careyann Zivich and Adam Ringham attempted to recruit as many BOO reps as possible to another MLM named Tranont. They did this under the promise of getting commissions back for those out money from BOO, as well as the promise that Tranont would start supplying products identical to BOO including fulvic powder, colloidal silver, and probiotics. The latter two products were recently released days before BOO’s closing. Thus far, the promise has not been upheld.

Just a couple of days ago, Careyann started feverishly posting about getting commissions back for BOO reps again, which is what piqued our interest. Following this lead, and thanks to some helpful people, we discovered some interesting new info. Another rep by the name of Chris Stephani, who took over Adam Ringham’s rep group “Black Oxygen Business Advocates,” also started posting similar things:

This was followed by a post from Chris in Black Oxygen Business Advocates:

Some interesting points in this post include:

  • New BOO
  • Launching the first week of February
  • 99.9% identical product
  • peat-bog in Canada
  • trace metals
  • similar price
  • identical size
  • admitted access to the email list of BOO reps
  • pool to pay back lost commissions

Prior to this, there have been some pretty substantial rumors that BOO co-Founders were potentially setting up a new company by the name of Nuvagenix. At this time, a website exists but requires an admin login to access it. Based on what information we can find, and information from informants, it appears Marc and Carlo may possibly be setting up to manufacture and sell the same BOO product, but white-label to another company. This has not been 100% confirmed… yet.

We then started hearing rumors that the company may white-label to the MLM company Youngevity. It is important to note that there is a known connection between Youngevity and BOO. After the Health Canada recall and FDA hold, BOO had a compliance crackdown in an attempt to stifle its reps from making false health claims. One of my informants, who had previously worked for BOO and had also previously worked as an MLM compliance agent, informed me the compliance agent BOO brought in was in fact Youngevity’s compliance agent. How nice of them.

Given Youngevity’s history of picking up the pieces of failing MLMs, in conjunction with the aforementioned connection, it’s not too surprising they would be the one. Certainly doesn’t seem like a smart option with BOO’s track record until you consider that last interesting point: The company selling the new BOO is setting up a pool to pay back lost commissions.

You might be wondering “how exactly does that work?” Well, basically, BOO reps would be required to join the company, pay for the starter kit, remain active with a monthly PV (personal volume) requirement while a very small percentage of sales would be pooled and then paid back to the BOO reps from the top of the pyramid down. The company still gets its cut plus a ton of new recruits paying to join and stay active. Of course, someone at the top like Careyann would profit most from recruiting a massive team to earn commissions off of and be the first to get paid back while easily covering her PV and GV (group volume). No wonder the feverish posting.

Sure sounds a bit scammy, doesn’t it? We aren’t the only ones feeling that way. Some BOO reps also expressed their distrust in the comments of Chris’ post:

We also weren’t the only ones wondering if Youngevity was the company selling the new BOO:

Hmm, “awesome,” huh Chris? That’s sus. What makes this a little more interesting is that miss Careyann recently became friends with Youngevity’s VP of sales, Sean Brown. It could be as simple as birds of a feather, but it’s mighty coincidental. A little too coincidental:

Now for the real kicker. Someone decided to ask Sean himself if there was any truth to the rumors of Youngevity releasing a new fulvic product:

Would ya look at that?

Youngevity just happens to be releasing a new fulvic acid product the first week of February. The pieces sure do fit nicely. Whether or not they are white-labeling from Marc and Carlo still has to be confirmed. Given their seedy pasts, it wouldn’t be a surprise and it’s likely just a matter of time before the mudman is back shilling his bog dirt one way or another. We will be watching closely as this all unfolds, so keep an eye out for updates.
